Coronavirus COVID-19 Children’s Writing Ideas and Funny Writing Prompts for Kids
My wife, my two girls and I are self-isolating. Nothing to panic about – symptoms have resolved within the prescribed limits, but we are taking the advice and doing the right thing for everyone else’s safety.
Children’s Story Ideas Generator for Family Kids’ Book Writing at Home
I have always been in awe of the authors that write a novel inside of a month during NaNoWriMo or National Novel Writing Month. We are using our time in isolation to start writing another funny middle-grade kids’ adventure book with our kids to keep us all occupied. It is a form of creative writing for middle-grade children incorporating funny drawing prompts for children.
It is working like a charm. In fact, I could not be more motivated by my gorgeous five-year-old little girl begging me for the next instalment of the story day-by-day. She is creating drawings of the characters and pushing my wife and I to be quite creative in story development in the evenings.
Funny Comment Sparks Funny Kids’ Book Writing at Home
The genesis was an off-the-cuff comment by my father this week on the anniversary of an injury I sustained helping save a life on the 999 emergency ambulances on the 13th March last year. Surprisingly, after that injury last year, I had the idea to write my first funny kids’ books for which I am seeking a publisher. I am once again well and truly in the hot seat with daily demands from my five-year-old illustrator-come-editor!
Funny Children’s Book Taking Shape – Fun Writing Ideas for Kids
A beginning, an end, back cover blurb and an evolving children’s story and character arc have germinated from an unusual and brilliant comment by my dad. I am once again excited, driven and thoroughly enjoying the unfolding night-time adventure of the three young girls as they battle and weave their way out of a situation of their own making.
Can they form an animal alliance to escape the deadly predators they unwittingly released that are now hunting them in the dark?
One Door Literally Shuts – Will the Literary One Open?
The nature of my injuries dictate that I will be unable to return to the very physical front line 999 emergency ambulance duties. My employment has been terminated and I have four weeks to find something new, in the height of Coronavirus COVID-19!
I am hopeful that this book will form a series of middle-grade children’s adventures and I have already sown the seeds for funny kids’ book number two in this series.
From Injury to Funny Book to Google #1 – Website Writing Topics for Kindergarten Children
My journey from injury to writing funny children’s books dropped me back into the world of web design and search engine optimisation (SEO), a world I left as an award-winning web designer a few years ago.
I have quite funnily managed to design and rank my children’s author website at the top of Google alongside the mega stars of the children’s writing industry for more than fifty search terms.
That Google search engine ranking success sparked another idea:
To offer that Website SEO and Social Media Content Service to others.
I entered a competition for business support and a hot desk at Strawberry Fields Digital Hub and was fortunate enough to be selected as a winner in that contest to start my digital business: www.ecky-thump.com
This post is about creative writing topics for kindergarten and nursery from 4th grade and 7-year-olds ranging up and beyond children age 10 and 11-year-olds.
Using my SEO skills:
I just ranked this post Google #1 for five search terms, Google #2 for another three and Google page one for several other terms – I hope you find the ideas useful, that it helps entertain the kids and keeps morale up in these difficult times.
My Chilli Grower Press and Media Adventure as the Chilliman
My last adventure saw me create the Chilliman from Little Green Men, a chilli grower and artisan chilli product maker. As a local food evangelist and champion of local food producers, I featured as a finalist in the late great Gary Rhodes’ UKTV Local Food Hero competition and found myself blessed by press and media featuring on the major TV and radio channels for a few years.
My Service as A 999 Emergency Ambulance Person
As the recession began to erode the market and my business, I turned to serving the people of this country on the 999 emergency ambulances and have been saving lives for the last six years until my injury curtailed that life of service.
